GMAT Practice Questions – what is the correct difficulty to practice?

I have been following these questions for a while now. Easy questions are just that “easy” – they are not the ticket to a 700+ scores. GMAT is known to For 700+ scores one must be ready to tackle the most difficult questions. I have been following ScoreChase Weekly quests for some time now and I highly recommend them. The questions are not just difficult (otherwise I wouldnt have recommended them). Instead the questions consist of very important Math and Verbal concepts and a healthy discussion after that. I call them teasers (I have suggested this name to Hagrid). Teasers because most of these concepts we know but have no Idea how to apply.
You can subscribe to these questions by email [Click Here for GMAT Weekly Quests by email] , or visit GMAT Weekly Quests page on ScoreChase.com.
Remember the harder you practice the easier it will be for you to tackle the tough ones on GMAT exam.

Hi, can you tell me if there are sectional cut offs for the GMAT or is it just the total score?? Also a little info on the actual test

Hi Aseem,
I visited your blog, nice blog!
There are no sectional cut offs per say, but it depends on the B-school you are applying to. The overall score gives a good indication of your merits. However, individual scores do come into play, in my opinion, for example when you are applying with finance as your ambition (ex Wharton). If your score is 700, you may have some problems. The other way is, suppose you are a Math graduate/engineer still ur math score is 43-46, it might make your case a bit weak.
I hope this makes sense.

Let me know if you have more questions (I will post a comment on your blog, bec I am not sure if you will know that I replied to your question)

Hey scifi thanks a lot for that!! Im basically an arts student with economics as my majors haven’t done maths for the last four years ever since i left school. But I love English and logic. Im a student of English literature in college, so i have to study it in my mainstream academics, since we are required to write critical appreciations of poems, writing is something which i keep doing. Also how important are extra circular achievements, because throughout my academic carrier i have been an average student with average grades. But in extra curricular activities i have excelled, i won the state level elocution competition and national level debate competition in my country. Also many other prizes and awards given by my college and various other institutes, so how much will that work to my advantage? Thanks once again!! Really appreciate your response.

Extra curriculars are a huge plus. A good verbal score along with the extracurriculars you have can make a great MBA application.
